Studio Raw has an approach uniquely its own — complete with a full complimentary bar for their clients. The salon is based on the concept of a studio, so Daniel’s stylists are actually designers and the “Raw” part of the name is an acronym for “Revealing Anew Within.” He puts the same amount of creativity and passion into everything he does, including creating “Raw Rave” which raises money for children with Alopecia, and developing the “Men of Raw” calendar with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Foundation.

• LISA RUSSELL

As the Owner of Educational Tutorial Services, Lisa Russell believes that when presented with the proper resources, every child, irrelevant of income level or family situation, has an equal chance of educational success. Recognizing that schools do not have the resources to “catch” foster kids up to the correct grade level, she created her company to serve as the liaison between the school, child, and social welfare agency. Lisa began advocating for foster child educational rights at a local level and then eventually at the federal level. Originally from Indiana, Pa., Lisa has split her time in recent years between her offices in Pittsburgh, Florida, and California. A six-year survivor of Hodgkins Lymphoma, the stem cell recipient is an active volunteer and advocate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the America Cancer Society. Although she loves to travel, one of this jet-setters favorite things to do is to sit back and enjoy the view of Pittsburgh from her Mt. Washington home.
