The Planning
Lighting: Three Rivers Entertainment
Linens: Table Attire
Rentals: All Occasions Party Rental, Event Source
Furniture Rentals: The Prop Shop
Lounge furniture transformed the David L. Lawrence Convention Center into a swanky space for cocktail hour. The ballroom was surrounded by 30-foot walls of ivory fabric, and decorated with charcoal and silver table linens and glittering crystal chandeliers. The couple’s monogram lit the dance floor.
The Dress: Anne Gregory For the Bride
Ashley looked radiant in her Monique Lhuillier ivory silk gown and custom-designed veil. Her bridesmaids wore slate gray strapless dresses by Jim Hjelm. The entire bridal party included 21 friends and family members.

The Ceremony: Christ Church at Grove Farm
The ceremony, held at Christ Church at Grove Farm in Sewickley, also featured live music, performed by American Idol’s Mandisa, along with a string quartet, guitar, and piano ensemble, conducted by Christopher Wu of the Pittsburgh Symphony. At the reception, the newlyweds first danced to “God Gave Me You,” performed by the song’s artist, Dave Barnes.
Cake: Vanilla Pastry Studio
The newlyweds’ guests indulged in two kinds of treats. The women in attendance were served slices from the six-tier wedding cake of vanilla buttercream batter, adorned with fresh berries and pearl fondant. The cookies and cream groom’s cake — covered with a funky fun camouflage-pattern icing — was served to the men.
Florist: Hepatica
The bride carried a cascading bouquet of ivory and white phalaenopsis orchids, roses, and hydrangea. Following the wedding, the centerpieces – which contained locally grown phalaenopsis orchids, roses, and hydrangea — were donated to the Ronald McDonald House! Hepatica also designed the wall of roses.
Caterer: The Common Plea Catering
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed appetizers including sushi, sugarcane shrimp, and lamb tenderloin, while toasting with the couple’s signature Pimm’s Cup cocktails. Dinner included surf and turf plates of filet and halibut.
