Congratulations to the winners of the Ultimate WHIRL Wedding Contest, Alex May and Mandy Freshwater! These high school sweethearts dated for seven years before their engagement, which took place in October 2010 at Niagara Falls, where both of their families were present for the fantastic surprise proposal! They are set to be wed on June 9, 2012, with a reception on the Gateway Clipper Fleet.
This contest garnered 13,227 votes for the 29 participating couples — so many votes at one time, in fact, that the response to the contest momentarily crashed WHIRL’s website!
