Consignment stores are experiencing a boom in this economy: Sellers who want to pare down their closets overstuffed with designer labels can make money off of the pieces they take to the store, or alternatively, they can donate the clothes to a shop that benefits a charity. Buyers who crave barely worn, beautiful pieces from designers such as Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Louboutin, and other haute names, can feel guilt-free about indulging. We shop four high-end consignment boutiques and put together outfits for Jennifer Diamond, WHIRL Publishing’s assistant art director: The combinations are so cute you won’t believe how budget-friendly they are!
