Satin Chair Covers by Robin

Satin Chair Covers by Robin has more than 2,000 chair covers in stock.

Robin D’Orazio’s daughter was married in 2003, and D’Orazio decided that she would fabricate 400 chair covers in silver bridal gown-quality satin to transform the venue into a “Magical Wonderland.” D’Orazio says she wanted her daughter’s day to “have a look of grace and elegance, and when everyone walked into the room, they really felt like they were looking at a ‘Magical Wonderland,’” D’Orazio says. She offers chair covers in silver, gold, ivory, and white, with colored sashes to coordinate with the bride’s colors. The Canonsburg-based designer herself brings the chair covers to the wedding and applies them and then following the wedding, she removes them, making the task effortless for the couple. ADS Lighting says that lighting is the most efficient way of transforming a venue.

ADS Lighting

Rental items include: lighting equipment, lighting design services

Andy Shick, the owner of ADS Lighting, left the banking and finance industry “years ago” to work with his lighting designer brother, and never looked back. Today, lighting is one of the fastest growing demands for weddings. Schick says that ADS Lighting did the lighting for 45 weddings in October 2009 alone. “In the beginning, lighting was one of those ‘oh-by-the-way’ kinds of things, and we would get phone calls the week of the wedding for lighting,” Shick says. “Now, lighting is so important that we’re getting booked a year to a year-and-a-half in advance. Although, we still make time for those last-minute calls, too.” ADS Lighting offers the rental of lighting equipment, design consultations, as well as full production of lighting for events, from design services to installment. Lighting from ADS can range from a single pinpoint light to searchlights that shoot light four miles into the air. Shick is also excited about the new technology of LED lights, which require substantially less peripheral equipment and electricity than former lighting sources. General Rental Center uses modules to create custom tents.

General Rental Center

Rental items include: tables, linens, chairs, tents, dance floors, beverage service accessories, china, glassware, flatware

General Rental Center is a full-service party and equipment store in Cranberry Twp. The company has been owned and operated by Michael Hall and his family since 1998 and boasts the tagline, “If we don’t have it, you don’t need it.” Hall says the custom tents that General Rental Center offers are a popular service with weddings. “We build a tent that will work with the client’s plans, as opposed to telling them that this is what we have to work with.” The company sends out a consultant to the site of the event and then creates a customized layout that virtually shows the customer what the tent will look like. Another extremely popular item carried by General Rental Center is the “Quebbie,” which is essentially a “DJ in a box,” offering more than 14,000 songs as well as pre-set announcements for wedding moments such as the cutting of the cake. Hall says that anyone can operate the machine with just a five-minute tutorial, and that the Quebbie is a less expensive alternative to hiring a DJ.
