Nearly 500 guests helped net $73,000 for The Salvation Army of Western Pennsylvania at its annual Doing the Most Good Dinner. Sponsored by PNC Bank, the evening honored Vector Security with the Nehemiah Award for its long-time support; FedEx Ground with the Community Services Award; and Peoples Natural Gas with a Project Bundle-Up Award. “The Salvation Army is really blessed with such wonderful corporate partners,” says Fran Brace, divisional director of development for the organization. “The forum allowed us to showcase the companies and the people that do the most good in their communities.” Keynote speaker and former Pittsburgh Steeler Chris Hoke shared his interesting journey through professional football while staying dedicated to the Mormon faith. Held at the Sheraton Station Square, WPXI-TV’s Alby Oxenreiter led as Master of Ceremonies.
