Earlier this year, former Pittsburgh Steeler Troy Polamalu was elected to the NFL Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, a rare accomplishment for a safety. The former University of Southern California star played his entire career for the Pittsburgh team, winning two Super Bowl rings, and the adoration of the entire Steelers nation. And beside him the entire time? His beau- tiful, supportive wife, Theodora. Their love story began in college and has continued ever since, from their lives in southwestern Pennsylvania to their new home in southern California.

Theodora and Troy combine to make the perfect team-kind, devoted, and with a natural sense of humor. Their home is filled with laughter, love, and fun, with an emphasis on creating a perfect environment for raising their two sons, Paisious and Ephraim. Their faith in God reigns supreme, and as Greek Orthodox celebrants, prayer is the center of their family life. Theodora explains how she begins her day with calmness, clarity, and a sense of the divine. “My mindful techniques are waking up every morning, usually before the sun rises and allowing myself 15 minutes to pray and be grateful for another day to challenge myself to be more patient, kind, compassionate, and authentic.”
